Women in Ancient Greece: Archaeologist Evi Pini on ”Imprint” | 25 Apr. 2024, 12:00

On Thursday, April 25th, 2024, 12:00 Greek time, the show “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou, meets Evi Pini, archaeologist and head of the educational programs of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands, on the occasion of her speech “Women, the invisible of history” as part of the lecture series “Museum-scholar” organized by the Association of Greek Archaeologists.

She talks about the life of women in Ancient Greece during the classical period, about the significant differences between “conservative” Athens and “female-dominated” Sparta, about the interaction between class and gender discrimination against women but also about drastic changes that have occurred in recent years in the lives of women in the Western world.
