He was still on holiday on his favorite island when Captain Giannis’s phone rang.
A call to embark on a voyage in Australia, replacing a colleague on a cargo ship.
Without hesitation, Captain Giannis packed his bags and, three days later, found himself in Abbott Point, Eastern Australia.
He was transferred by helicopter to the ship, ready to take up his duties. His ability to respond immediately and effectively to any challenge is truly admirable.
“I’m no stranger to hardships” and “living out of a suitcase” – the life of a sailor is full of challenges and adventures.
