Those out on the open sea,
And those tied up at the quay,
May seas be calm and clear,
And every voyage steer.
Veteran seafarer Manolis Kalavrezos from Kasos shared a verse with New Year wishes of health, joy, prosperity, and fair winds for all seafarers.
The photo was taken in the roadstead of the Mississippi River, aboard M/V NAVIOS IRAKLIS, owned by Angeliki Frangou, in 2015.
“We were loaded with steel and coils from Japan to the United States, and we had good voyages,”
notes Manolis Kalavrezos.
