Vasia Moragianni: Danish Light, Greek Perspective | 05 Oct. 2025, 10:00

On Sunday, 05 October at 10:00 am., the program “Greeks Around the World – Greece in Denmark” with Elina Stamatatou welcomes interior designer Vasia Moragianni.

Vasia Moragianni studied Social Anthropology at Panteion University. In 2006 she first visited Copenhagen through the Erasmus program. She fell in love with the city and its atmosphere so much that she decided to return in 2007 and settle there permanently.

From 2009 to 2011 she completed her Master’s degree in Applied Cultural Analysis at the University of Copenhagen.

She then worked for eight years at a marketing platform in the real estate sector, as operations manager, where she came into contact with thousands of homes in Denmark and discovered first-hand what Scandinavian design really means. For the past six years, she has been working as a consultant at a software company.

In the program she will talk about her life in Denmark and how the country has shaped the way she perceives design: fewer objects, calm colors, natural materials such as wood and stone, and an emphasis on light. It is worth noting that she has brought this Scandinavian style into her own apartment—both a home and a photography & design studio (60 sq.m.)—which has been featured in magazines in many countries.

Her dream is to create a book on small homes in Copenhagen, filled with practical solutions and ideas for how anyone can live in spaces that inspire calm and creativity. As she herself says, in the end, beauty lies in simplicity and in how we choose to use our space.
