Ms. Xydi is in Athens these days to present the first initiatives of the Institute, aimed at bridging the gap between the Greek Diaspora and the individuals responsible for shaping policy in Greece.
Aphroditi Xydi has previously served as a management consultant at Strategy& in the Middle East, where she developed policies for governments in areas such as energy, industrialization, digitization, and governance. She worked as a researcher at Harvard Business School, conducting research on the Greek crisis. She holds a degree from Johns Hopkins University (Maryland, USA).
The “Deon” Policy Institute is the first think tank of the Greek Diaspora, with a mission to organize and transform the Diaspora into a catalyst for the progress and prosperity of Greece. “Deon” was founded in early 2023 by young Greek expatriates. Its network consists of diaspora experts, academics, and professionals, aiming to develop well-founded policy proposals by leveraging knowledge and best practices from abroad. The Institute focuses on areas such as education, entrepreneurship, energy and climate, and diaspora issues.
