Veteran Captain Spyros Kokkinopoulos from Athens decided at just 12 years old that he wanted to become a ship captain.
His father, a lawyer by profession, tried to dissuade him by sending him to serve on a small motor ship at the age of 16, hoping this would change his mind.
Not only did this not deter him, but Captain Spyros also excelled in the maritime field and has never regretted his decision, amassing many stories, experiences, and memories throughout his long career.
