On Thursday, April 4th, 2024, in the first hour we dealt with current affairs and, immediately after the headlines, we talked with Ms Vana Spoulou, professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, head of the infections department of Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital, on the seasonal viruses. Immediately afterwards, the guest of the show was Dr of Criminology, security expert from the ITSTIME research team, Mrs Maria Alvanou, on the occasion of the femicide of Agioi Anargyroi, which, this time, took place in front of a police station and despite the effort made by the 28-year-old victim of the murderous attack by her ex-partner to protect herself from the police, asking for a police car to take her home.
In the second part of the show, we connected with Santorini, with the local radio station of the island and talked with the journalist, Panagiotis Mytilineos, about the latest news from the island and the messages for this year’s tourist season. Then, the beloved singer of our Traditional and Folk song, Lefkothea Filippidi, talked to us about her great teacher, Chronis Aidonidis, who passed away a few months ago, on the occasion of a concert dedicated to his memory, which will take place in the amphitheater of the War Museum, on April 15th, at 8:30 in the evening.
Just before the end of the show, we “traveled” to Australia from where the journalist of the Greek service of the SBS network, Themis Kallos, informed us about the 42nd Greek Festival of Sydney, which continues with excellent events.
