On the Friday show of November 8, 2024, after the introduction and the newspaper headlines, we spoke with political scientist Mr. Lefteris Kousoulis about developments following Trump’s election in the U.S. and recent events in SYRIZA PS, just hours before the party’s conference begins.
Before 11:00, Ivana Dzortzevic updated us on world events.
In the second hour, our in-studio guest was Pantazis Tsaras, music producer at the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, who discussed a major art exhibition at Ersi Gallery in central Athens. This exhibition, dedicated to the renowned painter Kostas Tsaras, opens on Tuesday, November 12, and runs until December 14.
Following that, Dimitris Theodosopoulos, survey engineer from the National Technical University of Athens and an expert on Attica’s streams, explained how Athens would respond to an extreme weather event like the one that caused the recent tragedy in Valencia, Spain. He emphasized that bold solutions are needed, including expropriations and the reopening of streams that have been enclosed for decades.
Just before the sports news with Antigoni Drakatou, we met 74-year-old Greek-Australian expatriate Dimitris Vlachandreas, who traveled to Athens with his 40-year-old son to participate for the first time in the authentic Athens Marathon on Sunday, November 10.
