Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 12.01.2024

On Friday, January 12th, 2024, we connected with Ioannina and talked to ERT’s correspondent in the city, Vassilis Siomos, who conveyed beautiful images of Epirus winter landscapes.

Then, we heard from the internationalist Evangelos Venetis, an expert on Islam and the Middle East. He analyzed Israel’s ongoing operation in the Gaza Strip and the bombing of Houthi positions in Yemen by the US and the UK, in which he expressed his concern about the possibility of an escalation of tension and expansion on other fronts.

Immediately after the newspaper headlines, with Manos Economidis, journalist of ysterografa.gr, we commented on the domestic political current affairs and we mainly focused on the issues that have arisen with the regulation on same-sex couples marriage and child adoption but also the issue of inaccuracy and the measures announced by the government to deal with it.

In the second part, we listened to Konstantina‘s new song entitled “Everything I ever loved” with lyrics by Giorgos Lekakis and music by guitarist Christos Pertsinidis; and we spoke by phone with them about their artistic career, the importance of being involved in singing and trying to listen to the concerns and anxieties of society and address them with your work. Furthermore, we were informed about the future plans of the two artists and we closed with the song written during the pandemic by Giorgos Lekakis, composed by Giorgos Hatzis, entitled “Just go to Arkios”. The song was performed by Konstantina, Katerina Korou, Kostas Bigalis and Giorgos Hatzis, which tells the story of the island’s school and its one and only teacher and its one and only student.

The show ended with Ivana Djordjevic on international news and Antigone Drakatou on the sports news of the day.
