Vasilis Voulgaris, publisher of the Greek newspaper europolitis.eu and newly appointed Secretary for the Greek Diaspora of PASOK, joined Prokopis Agelopoulos on the program “Take Your Time”, broadcast by Voice of Greece.
Mr. Voulgaris spoke about his long-standing connection with PASOK, which began in his childhood in the neighborhoods of Western Athens and Piraeus. He shared insights into his close relationship with the Greek communities of Central Europe and the longstanding contribution of Europolitis, which has served the diaspora for over 15 years.
He explained his decision to work alongside PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis, driven by the need for stronger institutional support for diaspora Greeks from the central government. He emphasized the importance of fostering trust and taking tangible action that could pave the way for young Greeks who left during the economic crisis to return home.
Mr. Voulgaris also conveyed the concerns and priorities of diaspora communities to the Greek government and political parties, stressing the need for their more active participation in public life. In closing, he addressed the political climate in Germany, including the rise of the far-right and growing instability.
