On Tuesday, December 12th, 2023, we started the day from Thessaly; the ERT correspondent, Vangelis Mitrousias, presented us the current affairs, but also informed us about the events of the holidays in the wider region. Then, after the headlines, we were informed by the energy inspector, Vangelis Panos, about energy saving solutions for our homes, on the occasion of the introduction of the four types of electricity tariffs, which come with 4 different color codes beginning next year.
In the second part of the show, we connected with ERT’s correspondent in Corfu, Yiannis Andriotis, to wish happy name day to Spyros and Spyridoula.
The interview that followed was with Alexandra Makou. The mother of Garyfallia Psarakos, the 26 year old girl who was murdered by her partner, in the summer of 2021 in Folegandros. She talked to us about how she handled the unspeakable pain of a mother losing her child in this way; her feelings every time she had to face her daughter’s killer and his family in the courtrooms and her decision to support the women’s struggle who are in the same position as hers through actions aimed at preventing women from facing the same risk again and families experiencing similar pain
