On Friday, March 29th, 2024, we talked about current affairs and, after the headlines, we met Ms Elena Vaka, mayor of Chalkida, one of the 22 female mayors, as part of the relevant tribute of the show. Before 11 p.m., the parliamentary editor of the First Program, Andreas Marathias, gave us his analysis of the debate in parliament, among political leaders, in the context of the motion of no confidence tabled by PASOK and supported by left-wing parties.
In the second part, we had on the line Dionysia Avgerinopoulou, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Oceans and responsible for organizing the 9th Our Ocean Conference, which will take place in Athens on 15-17 April 2024. Mrs Avgerinopoulou spoke about the challenges posed to the global community by the Climate Crisis and the importance of protecting the seas for the global ecosystem. She also briefed us on initiatives and priorities, in view of the conference to be held in Athens. Immediately afterwards, the President of the National Blood Donation Center, Panagiotis Katsivelas, spoke about how Blood Donation is organized in the country, with the concentration of responsibilities at the National Center, on the occasion of the Two-Day Voluntary Blood Donation, which takes place in Syntagma Square until March 29th.
Finally, just before the sports news, we hosted Mr Konstantinos Kakarountas, President of ASIFA HELLAS, the Association of Greek Animation Creators, on the occasion of the annual awards ceremony for the best Greek animation films, which takes place on Saturday, March 30th, at 6 p.m., at the Hellenic American Union.
