Vassilis Rouvalis is a guest in “Our Town” on July 24th, 2024. He discusses his extensive body of work, encompassing poetry, essays, short stories, and translation, and he address his role at the Hellenic Open University, where he oversees the creative writing network “Frasis.” In a discussion with Themis Rodamitis, he recalls the years of the magazine “Poema,” which was the inaugural electronic magazine in its field.
Additionally, he addresses his contributions to journalism, including his role as editor-in-chief of various newspapers and magazines, such as Eleftherotypia, Avgi, Anti, Diavazo, Pop and Rock, and others, as well as the extensive photographic work and his role as the founder and inaugural president of the Tinos Photographic Club.
He also refers to the International Literary Festival of Tinos, where he assumed the role of artistic director this year – a the role previously held by Dinos Siotis, who had served in this capacity for an extended period. He presents an overview of the mission, objectives, and future outlook of this unique institution.
