Adamantios Zografakis, originally from Heraklion and a permanent resident of Thessaloniki, spoke on Fair Winds & Following Seas and Voice of Greece.
“For me, the sea is both breath and a lifelong dream. I became a captain without having any seafarers in my family. From a very young age, I decided to go to sea and pursued it with great passion and determination. I have 32 years of sea service, up to 2002. I signed on for the first time in 1969 from Italy, aboard the M/V Angelic Protector of D. Lemos. Japan is the country that impressed me the most out of all the places I have visited,” Captain Diamantis notes.
