The program welcomed the Artistic Director of the Chios Festival, Dimitra Moutzouri, who spoke about the festival’s rich program, taking place on the island of Chios from August 24 to September 4, 2026, under the auspices of UNESCO and the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in the presence of its President, Ioannis Saracakis.
As she noted, this year’s festival will host as its distinguished guest His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.
This year’s edition also places a special focus on bringing distinguished Greeks from abroad back to Greece, inviting leading academics and researchers from world-renowned institutions such as Harvard and Cambridge to present their work and ideas in the heart of the Aegean.
Among the participants are Stamatis Krimigis, Stylianos Antonarakis, Peter Sarris, Alexandra Touroutoglou, Athanasios S. Fokas, Dimitrios Yatromanolakis, and others.
