The program welcomed distinguished conductor Dionysios Dervis-Bournias, who is based in France and is the founder of the innovative “Festum π” festival.
Combining music and mathematics, the festival was held in Chania for the fifth year, from July 26 to August 2, bringing together prominent scientists, musicians and professors from abroad. Participants included Constantinos Daskalakis, Cédric Villani, Theodora Psychogyiou, Bruno Mantovani, Katia & Marielle Labèque and Katerina Fotinaki, among others.
Dervis-Bournias spoke about his vision for a Center for Pythagorean Studies in Crete, as well as the festival’s wide range of activities.
