Anastasios Tamis, emeritus professor of Greek history based in Australia, discussed the history of Charalambos Kanellakis and the Galatis and Mavromaras families of Tianjin and Beijing, China, on Voice of Greece’s “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis.
He also spoke about the Greek community that flourished there until 1949 and the early 1950s, when Greeks were forced to leave after their property was confiscated by Mao’s communist regime.
