Seta Theodoridou, president of the Greek Community of Paris and the Surrounding Area, spoke with Dimitris Kontogiannis on Voice of Greece’s “Our Global Voice.” She discussed the history of the Greek House in Paris, its ongoing renovation funded by the community, and plans to build a new Greek library there. She also spoke about plans for educational activities for children, dance, Greek singing and theater workshops, and Greek language classes for adults that have already begun.
Theodoridou said the Greek language classes are fully staffed this year, with 12 teachers seconded from Greece, although France has yet to recognize the classes. She added that demand for kindergarten places is so high that they cannot accept every child, as each class is limited to 20 children.
