The broadcast of Friday, September 12, 2025, was a different kind of program, dedicated mainly to music. Guests in the studio of Voice of Greece were, in the first hour, Katerina Pipili, the Greek musician, pianist, and performer who has built her career around jazz music in Paris and presented songs from her recent album “Room for Blue”, available on all major platforms; and Katerina Kyrmizi, who returned to the studio of Voice of Greece, this time with her guitar, to sing and talk about Generation X, the generation she belongs to and also the title of her new song. The program began featuring two interviews with key fiigures in education: Theodoros Tsouchlos, president of OLME (The Secondary Education Teachers’ Federation), and Violeta Pateli, member of DOE (Greek Primary Teachers’ Federation), to learn how the new school year began and what problems it faces.
In the second hour, we traveled to Drama, where Menos Deliotzakis, the new Head of the Department for Greeks Abroad and ERT filmmaker, informed us about this year’s International Short Film Festival, now in its 48th year. The program concluded with an interview with Giorgos Trantalidis, the renowned musician, jazz and rock drummer, and artistic director of the “Jazz in the Park” festival, which welcomes audiences with free admission on Saturday night at Pyrgos Vasilissis, in Tritsis Park.
