The distinguished singer Vasilis Lekkas was a guest in the studio of the program “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos, on the occasion of his participation in a tribute event honoring the Greek Resistance. The event will take place at the Olympia Municipal Music Theatre Maria Callas on Saturday, 14 March, at 19:00, with free admission.
The concert is organized by the National Council for the Claim of Germany’s Debts to Greece, with the support of the Athens Culture Sports and Youth Organization.
Taking part in the event are Vasilis Lekkas, Rita Antonopoulou, Lakis Chalkias, as well as Nikos Bofilios, Manos Papadakis, Angelos Theodorakis, Stavros Xenos, Lida – Kalliopi Angelou, Natasa Papadopoulou – Tzavella, and the music ensemble “Romiosyni”, under the direction of Theo Lazarou. Also participating is the interschool choir of the 5th Gymnasium and the 5th Lyceum of Larissa.
According to the organizers, the event will also feature a moving theatrical performance dedicated to the Martyr Villages of Greece, with the participation of students from the 5th Gymnasium and the 5th Lyceum of Larissa, conveying a powerful message of historical continuity, collective memory, and the pursuit of justice for younger generations.
