On Friday February 2nd, “The Voice that Unites Us” and Gianna Triantafylli took us to Barcelona to meet director Thodoris Vournas and Anna Elena, Director of Oktana Casa de Cultura and organizer of the 10-day Greek and Cypriot Culture Festival in Barcelona. They refered to the 6th Barcelona Greek and Cypriot Film Festival which will take place from 2 to 4 February at Cinemas Ginora in the heart of Barcelona.
Greek and Cypriot films will be screened as well as the theatrical performance “The Monologue” by Ninja, directed by Thodoris Vournas and starring Irini Sterianou and Efthymis Georgopoulos.
In addition to the screening of films, the theatrical performance, the 10-day festival features a tasting of Greek ecological wines, the interactive activity for children “Mitosusurradas” on the theme of Greek Mythology, a concert of Greek music with Christos Barbas and a duet of literary and cultural lectures.
The festival is organized by Expatriate Cypriots and the cultural company Oktana Casa de Cultura and is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus, the Hellenic Film Centre, the Greek and Cypriot Embassy in Spain, as well as by expatriate cultural associations of Greece and Cyprus, active in Spain.
