In the second part of the show, we started our radio trip to various parts of Greece and the World where Easter is special for Greeks. In Patmos, we talked with the Deputy Mayor of Culture, Argyro Giameou, about the special ceremonies, the first and most important being the representation of the Last Supper and the ceremony of the Washbasin by the abbot and the monks of the Holy Monastery of John the Theologian. Then, we met in Corfu the correspondent of ERT, Giannis Andriotis and talked about the custom of botis that takes place throughout the island on Holy Saturday, but also about tourism that this year skyrockets on the island. From Hydra, Mayor Giorgos Koukoudakis talked to us about the special custom with the epitaph that enters the sea, the port of Kaminia and the burning of Judas that takes place with gunfire by men dressed as burlottiers.

Then, we left the borders of Greece and traveled to Istanbul, talking with Mr Giannis Kourtesoglou, a Greek resident of Constantinople and tour guide, who was in Hagia Sophia, with groups of Greek tourists and told us about what is happening in the church-symbol of Orthodoxy and how the Greeks of Constantinople live with devotion during these holidays in the Patriarchate. Alekos Markellos, ERT’s correspondent in Australia, told us about Greek Easter and the observance of customs by our expatriates, the festive tables for which they always try to have everything provided by Greek traditions and how they bring Greeks and Australians together. Finally, we contacted Rome and talked about the Greek Orthodox Easter there with the Greek guide, Maria Tamouridou, who was on a tour of the Vatican with a group of visitors from Greece and Cyprus.

The show ended with Antigone Drakatou from ERA Sports with sports news.
