Kleoniki Demiri, performer, member of Musical Ensembles (ERT’s Symphony Orchestra) was a guest of the show “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos, on the occasion of for her concert for the 450th anniversary of the completion of the Greek Orthodox Church of Agios Georgios in Venice .
The concert is organized on June 16, by the Greek Orthodox Community of Venice, the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies and the Metropolis of Italy, in collaboration and with the assistance of the Embassy of Greece in Rome.
It should be noted that Kleoniki Demiri, after a series of successful performances in recent years in Greece and abroad (Paris, Montreal, Brussels, Florence, Stockholm, Tirana, Amman, Skopje, etc.), will present a program with songs by great Greek composers, accompanied by Marina Tsokani on the piano – a musical journey which is guaranteed to enchant not only Greek expatriates but also the Italian-speaking public.
Kleoniki Demiri was born in Larissa, studied singing in the class of Angela Lalaounis and received her diploma with honors and first prize. She has studied singing with Misa Ikeoutsi and Mechthild Stamataki. He holds degrees in Harmony and Counterpoint and has attended seminars with Antonis Kontogeorgiou in Greece and with Varena Schweizer in Italy. He has been a member of the Hellenic Radio (ERT) choir since 2000 and was a member of the Greek Festival Choir as well as the ensemble of Lyrical Artists of Panagis Barbatis.
She has performed all over Greece at numerous music festivals, in many music stages and theaters in Athens with Greek and international repertoire, as well as abroad. For 2024, she has planned a series of performances in Greece and abroad (Munich, Skopje, Stockholm) and the release of a new album.
