On Monday, July 22, at 11:00 Athens time, 50 years after the the Turkish invasion of Cyprus , Prokopis Agelopoulos hosts in the studio of Voice of Greece a man who lived the nightmare of the war, with the invasion of the Turks in Megalonissos, at the age of only 19, the battle of Sychari and then in the Turkish prisons, without being able to know if he would manage to see his own people again.
Starting with this photo, which was taken in 1966, Andreas remembers when he was in the 5th grade at his primary school, in Trikomo, 8 years before the tragic end of the coup in Cyprus and the invasion and occupation of the northern part of the island , which forever changed the lives and destinies of the people who experienced the horrors of the War and the uprooting.
