Dimitris Linas, who has been in Uruguay since 1980, spoke about the Greek-loving country in South America, its people, the small Greek community, and the elections for the new president of the country, on Voice of Greeceand the program “Our Global Voice,” with Petros Diplas and Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Mr. Linas, a consultant for the Tsakos Group in Uruguay, mentioned that Uruguayans are a highly educated people and philhellenes, with many learning Greek every year at the Maria Tsakos Foundation. He also discussed the significant donations made by Mr. Koutalidis and Mr. Onassis to the Greek community there, such as the land, building, and church in the most prestigious area of Montevideo.
