In the Thursday show on February 27, 2025, after the introduction with the latest news, we connected with the Union of Greek Journalists (ESHEA) and listened to part of the presentation of the findings from the Hellenic Organization for the Study of Accidents (EODASAM) regarding the tragic accident in Tempi.
Immediately after, we spoke with representatives of the Greek diaspora, Mr. Nikos Skordas, a member of the Health Workers Union in Sydney, Australia, and Ms. Alexandra Karra and Ms. Artemis Antoniou, Greeks from Oslo, Norway, about the gatherings they are organizing for the day of remembrance and demand for justice from the diaspora communities.
In the second part, we connected with Tokyo, where Mr. Nikolaos Argyros, our Ambassador to Japan, updated us about an event organized by the embassy on 28/2, in celebration of International Greek Language Day, which was commemorated a few days earlier.
Afterwards, we discussed a topic that reached the show through messages from residents and civic organizations in the Agrinio area regarding the reactions provoked by the planned project for the Water Pumping and Storage of Lake Trichonida. We spoke on the matter with Mr. Vasilis Loizos, president of the cultural association “Friends of the Trichonida Museum.”
In the final part of the show, we returned to the topic of seismic activity in the area between Santorini and Amorgos, due to the decrease in seismic calm in recent days. We sought the opinion of Mr. Filippos Vallianatos, professor of Geophysics at the University of Athens, director of the Institute of Internal Earth Physics at the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
