Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 04 Dec. 2025

On the Thursday edition of the program, 4 December 2025, we opened with a live link to Los Angeles, where Greek-American director Nicholas Fraghias spoke about the three film and television projects he is planning to develop — all centered on immigrant stories in the United States, which will also be the core focus of his production company, Emberframes. The first project is a Broadway-style musical that will bring to the screen the life of Greek-American Billy “Goat” Sianis, a story of inclusion set in mid-1930s Chicago.

After reviewing the day’s online headlines, we discussed the farmers’ protests with Diamanto Kritikou, President of the Agricultural Association of Amyntaio and member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Agricultural Cooperatives.

In the second hour, following the international news update by Ivana Djordjevic, we connected to Germany for a conversation with Konstantinos Kachrimanidis, President of the Confederation of Parents and Guardians in Germany, about the state of Greek-language schools in the country’s Greek communities — with understaffing remaining the central challenge.

In the final part of the program, our guest in the Voice of Greece studio was Stefanos Pallantzas, civil engineer and President of the Hellenic Passive House Institute. We discussed the urgent need to upgrade buildings so that heating and cooling costs don’t become “money thrown into a bottomless barrel.” He explained what interventions older buildings require and which construction years these measures apply to. He also outlined the funding programs currently available for energy upgrades, and using numerical examples, he demonstrated how significant the savings can be on heating and cooling — in some cases reaching up to 100%, especially in systems that integrate rooftop solar panel technology.

Pallantzas also emphasized how crucial it is for these technologies to be incorporated into the government’s ambitious plans for constructing social housing for young couples.

The program concluded with Vicky Spyrou and the sports news.
