Filippos Georgopoulos, a gastroenterologist based in Dubai, spoke about his experience during the Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Dubai, where he has been working for several years. He shared his account on Voice of Greece Radio, on the program “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Mr. Georgopoulos noted that the situation was much calmer on Monday compared to Sunday and Saturday, although road traffic remains reduced, as the government has permitted the private sector to operate remotely (teleworking). A significant number of people have been stranded at Dubai Airport following the closure of the airspace and are being accommodated at government expense.
He added that many had anticipated a strike by the United States and Israel against Iran and were, to some extent, psychologically prepared for developments.
