“Our Town” welcomes to the studio Konstantinos Kolovos, social worker and author of the book Intercultural Social Work: Migration, School Performance and the Role of the Family, and Eirini Vlachou, a lawyer with experience in the asylum and migration system and author of the book Asylum.
The episode explores the relationship between school, community, and family within the context of migration and the refugee experience, aiming to highlight the role of intercultural social work in empowering children, parents, and educators. At the same time, it raises important questions about the people arriving in Greece as refugees and migrants: What do they fear? What do they dream of? What do they hope for?
