Internationally renowned composer Giannis Psathas, currently in Italy, was a guest on “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos.
The interview centered on the upcoming world premiere of his 40-minute work Voices at the End, which will be performed on 22 June at the Teatro dei Rinnovati in Siena.
From 29 May through 22 June, the Siena Percussion Group will work closely with Psathas on a new adaptation of the acclaimed piece, transforming a work originally conceived for piano into a version for percussion ensemble. The composition engages with some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including the climate crisis and humanity’s evolving relationship with the planet, inviting reflection on issues that are crucial to the future of our societies and culture.
