Speaking from Posidonia 2026, Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameus joined Voice of Greece and “Fair Winds and Following Seas”, highlighting the vital role of Posidonia in showcasing the strength and global significance of Greek merchant shipping.
The Minister emphasized that employment in the maritime sector has increased by approximately 68% over the past seven years, underscoring the industry’s strong growth potential and the wide range of career opportunities it offers.
She noted that shipping remains one of Greece’s most dynamic sectors, providing promising prospects for young people and professionals seeking careers in a field with an international outlook and long-term development opportunities.
