On Thursday, 10 September 2026, following a review of current affairs and the headlines from news websites and newspapers, we spoke with political scientist and international relations expert Theodoros Tsikas about the far-right AfD party’s electoral victory in Saxony-Anhalt and what it could mean for political developments in Germany. At the beginning of the second hour, we connected with Sydney, Australia, to speak with Nikoletta Tsitsanoudi-Mallidi, Dean of the School of Education at the University of Ioannina and founder and academic director of the 12th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media: The Greek Language in Australia, from Memory to the Future.” The program concludes on Friday, 11 September. As Ms. Tsitsanoudi-Mallidi explained, it was warmly embraced by the Greek community and represented another important effort to preserve the Greek language and identity among younger generations of the Greek diaspora.

Drawing on his 21 years of close contact with members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the book brings together stories from the history of cinema and his own experiences.
