Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 11 Sept. 2026

On Friday, 11 September 2026, following a review of current affairs through the headlines of online news portals and newspapers, we discussed the important issue of private debt with Fotis Kourmousis, former Special Secretary for Private Debt Management.

After the international news with Ivana Djordjevic, Greek American visual artist Yannis Nomikos joined us in the Voice of Greece studio. His retrospective exhibition, “Trilogy,” is currently on display at the Athens City Museum. Moving from Greece’s enduring cultural heritage to the present day, Nomikos, a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece since 2024, turns his attention to everyday urban life. Through his paintings, he captures small, seemingly insignificant moments: hurried journeys, chance encounters, familiar and unfamiliar faces, people crossing paths in the streets, and moments of human connection that open a dialogue with the viewer. The exhibition is curated by archaeologist and art historian Iris Kritikou.
Nomikos spoke about his relationship with art, which began during his school years, and the works he created for tourists to earn a living as a teenager and young adult. He also discussed his decision to move to New York, where he studied art and went on to become an internationally recognized artist. He described how his art continues to evolve, the inspiration he draws from the world around him and from nature, and, of course, the exhibition itself, which opened on 9 September and runs through 15 October.
