On Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM Athens time, the show “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou will feature guests Sophia Chandaka, social anthropologist and Curator of the Department of World Cultures, Benaki Museum, and Antonis Chaldeos, historian and researcher of the Greek diaspora in Africa. They will discuss the exhibition Africa amongst Us, recently inaugurated at the Benaki Museum/Pireos 138, running until Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Sophia Chandaka, as the exhibition’s curator, will share insights into its human-centered and collaborative approach, which combines objects with personal stories, highlighting both Greek-African and Pan-African cultural heritage.
Antonis Chaldeos, serving as the exhibition’s scientific associate, will discuss the experiences and narratives of the Greek diaspora across the African continent.
