Fotini Katsiva on “Greeks of the World – Greece in Argentina” | 30 Nov. 2025, 10:00

On Sunday 30 November 2025, the Voice of Greece program “Greeks Around the World – Greece in Argentina”, hosted by Christina Tsardikou, will feature philologist Fotini Katsiva

Fotini Katsiva is an outstanding philologist, a top graduate of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology (PPP) of the School of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and holder of a postgraduate degree from the MA program “Theory, Practice and Evaluation of Educational Work” (Specialization: Teaching of Humanities and Educational Evaluation) of the Department of Primary Education at NKUA. She is also currently studying Law at NKUA, while in 2024 she received an Excellence Award from the same University.

Although 29-year-old Fotini was born and raised in Greece, with no personal connection to Argentina, since 2020 she has been offering her time and knowledge voluntarily as a Greek-language instructor, teaching remotely and online at the language workshops of the Hellenic Cultural Organisation “Nostos” in Argentina. Her love and dedication to teaching have built new cultural bridges between Greece and Argentina, helping fulfill our shared aspiration to promote and preserve both the Greek language and Greek culture.

Professor Fotini Katsiva stands as a vivid example of the potential of young Greeks who study, progress, and offer their knowledge for the benefit of others. She is a bright flame of hope for the future and a valuable opportunity for the Greeks of Argentina, who continue to resist the erosion of time and distance as they strive to preserve their Greek identity.
