Dimos Siokis, president of the Society of Kastorians “Omonoia” New York, which was founded in 1910, spoke about the recent donation of a brand new ambulance to the Hellenic Red Cross in Kastoria on the radio of the Voice of Greece and on “Our Global Voice” with Dimitris Kontogiannis.
Mr Siokis also referred to other initiatives taken by the Society, such as the sponsorship of annual scholarships to 10 excellent students of the Regional Unit of Kastoria, the financial contribution to the soup kitchens of the Holy Metropolis of Kastoria and others to help the homeland of its members.
