1. Pavliani vs. Small Hydroelectric Power Plant (MYPHE)
We speak with Letta Kretsa, a resident of Pavliani, a member of the Coordinating Committee against the MYPHE, and a member of the Municipal Council of Pavliani.
The beautiful and historic Pavliani, perched at an altitude of 1,040 meters on Mount Oiti in the Fthiotida region, has been fighting for years to preserve its identity. This concerns a small hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 0.83 MW on the Pavliani Stream.
What are the actions and mobilizations since January 2024, the legal appeals, the decisions of the Council of State (StE), and the protest march on Sunday, September 15, 2024, once again!
A good opportunity for a lovely excursion to this attractive destination, which has seen a revival in recent years.
2. Korifi Doukas (Vermio) vs. Wind Farms
We speak with Nikos Vounotripidis about the recent events at Korifi Doukas on Mount Vermio and the violation of the Council of State’s decision by the wind power company, the dropping of reinforced concrete on the mountain, the mobilization of the local residents, and the police protection provided to the… violators!
Throughout August, 18 wind turbines were transported.
Enjoy listening!
