Playwright Zeti Fitsiou “Takes her Time” on Voice of Greece | 27 Mar. 2025

The radio show “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos hosted playwright Zeti Fitsiou today in the studio, on the occasion of World Theatre Day. The program also featured the broadcast of Fitsiou’s audio play The Floor.

– Also, starting today at 21:00 on Voice of Greece, the 12-episode podcast series Euterpe, written by Fitsiou and starring Fay Xyla, will be aired daily from Monday to Friday.

In The Floor, set in a dystopian environment, two men “meet” but cannot see each other. One walks on the surface of the floor, while the other is trapped beneath it, swallowed by the ground. The man below pleads for help to escape—but is the man above willing to offer it?

Also noteworthy is Fitsiou’s original audio work Heroes, which participated in the podcast competition of the 62nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival. This production blends sounds, music, sharp dialogues, and vibrant storytelling.

Four self-contained comedic stories center around the protagonist, Euterpe, transporting listeners to another era. The podcast was directed and designed by Diamantis Karanastasis, with Fay Xyla performing all roles and Monika composing the theme music.

Finally, Fitsiou’s symbolic work The Mosquito stands out, using dark humor to explore the theme of human awakening—reminding us how, trapped in the confines of daily life, we sometimes even forget to… wake up.
