On Tuesday’s episode, March 19, 2024, we dedicated the first hour to Current Affairs, talking to the MPs, Charis Mamoulakis from SYRIZA P.S. and Thanasis Zebilis from New Democracy. The first hour ended by reading newspapers front pages. In the second hour, we had a very interesting discussion with Kostas Papakostopoulos, director and founder of the Greek-German Theater of Cologne, who told us about the 34-year old history of the theater, his own choice to leave Greece years ago and to dedicate himself to his love for the theatre. He also referred to the play they are preparing, which will start being performed in June and is an allegory on Ancient Greece and today’s Climate Crisis. We also referred to the institution of theater in Greece and Germany and the differences between them, while the discussion closed with a reference to the current Greek political and social reality as he himself experiences it as an expatriate Greek and a man of culture, regularly visiting Greece.
