The veteran and highly experienced mariner Petros Drosos from Aegina, speaks on “Fair Winds & Following Seas” on Voice of Greece. Born and raised in Port Said, where ships were always seen as a path to opportunity and professional advancement, he later moved to Greece with his family. There, he completed his studies at the Archimedes School of Marine Engineers and, in 1969, signed on for his first voyage aboard the M/V “ALPA”, sailing from Bilbao to Cuba—remaining on that vessel for two and a half consecutive years.
