a) Why were 45 emblematic, century-old eucalyptus trees on Dimokratias Avenue targeted by the municipality’s bulldozers? What does the so-called “bioclimatic redevelopment” involve, and what are its actual costs according to the local authorities?
How did the residents and the association Kalligaia react—through collective action, public protest, and legal channels? What has been achieved so far?
