The Most Reverend Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon was a guest on the program “Take Your Time”, broadcast from the Voice of Greece studio.
He spoke about the current global situation, marked by wars and civil conflicts, and stressed the need to return to the fundamental teachings of Christ, as conveyed through the Beatitudes in the Gospel of Matthew, and to continually reaffirm what he described as the manifesto of the new Justice of Christ.
He also discussed the role of Orthodoxy in today’s world, the meaning of sin in the modern era, and the importance of maintaining ongoing dialogue among the Churches, as well as the spiritual refuge that faith in God can offer people.
The conversation also turned to the situation in Cameroon and other countries under his pastoral guidance. He noted that these nations are extremely rich in natural resources and could provide much for their populations. However, they continue to face constant exploitation by major economic powers, with the result that a large proportion of their people live below the poverty line.
