In the Friday edition of the show, 11 July 2025, after our usual look at the headlines from news websites and newspapers, we connected live with Samos, where Anastasia Miliou, Director of Research at the Archipelagos Institute, informed us about the presence of jellyfish in Greek waters. Ms. Miliou stressed that there is no need for panic and invited swimmers to send photos they may have taken, which could contribute to the Institute’s research.
At the end of the first hour, Giorgos Lechouritis, President of the Consumers Institute, spoke about the rising cost of vacations for Greeks this year due to inflation.
The second hour began with international news, presented by Ivana Djordjevic. This was followed by a conversation with Professor Giorgos Kaviris, Director of the Seismology Laboratory and Head of the Seismological Network at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Referring to recent announcements by his scientific team, he spoke about ongoing research on the island’s volcano, which currently shows no signs of activity.
To close the show, Nikos Komineas, Mayor of Astypalaia, greeted us from the island, while Michalis Ladopoulos wrapped things up with the sports news.
