Take Your Time with Prokopis Agelopoulos | 29 Jan. 2026

On Thursday’s broadcast, 29 January 2026, we focused extensively on two tragedies that have shaken Greece in recent days. We spoke with Tasos Antoninis, journalist at ERA Spor, about the fatal accident involving PAOK supporters in Romania, just hours before the transfer of the bodies of the seven young victims to Thessaloniki and the return of the injured.

After the press review, Aris Zografos, President of the Panhellenic Association of Driving Instructors, joined us in the studio to discuss the conditions under which the accident occurred and the safety issues raised once again.

Immediately afterwards, addressing workplace safety, Michalis Halaris spoke to us on the tragic death of five female workers in Trikala. Mr. Halaris is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Democritus University of Thrace, a retired Lieutenant General of the Hellenic Fire Service, and former Special Secretary of the Labour Inspectorate.

In the second hour, we “traveled” to New Zealand and connected with Greek-born composer John Psathas, who spoke about the major international tour he is preparing for 2026, with stops in Europe and Asia.

We then spoke with Angeliki Kardara, PhD, from the Department of Communication and Media Studies at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Scientific Director of the Crime and Media Lab (Crime Study Center), about her presentation to the Council of Europe. Her presentation was based on her book “Crimes Against Life and the Criminal Action of the Serial Killer ‘Murderess’ by Alexandros Papadiamantis.”
