The program “Wander Words”, on Voice of Greece, guided by Prokopis Agelopoulos, took listeners on a journey to Western Macedonia. Setting off from Lake Vegoritida, the episode introduced three destinations ideal for nature enthusiasts and winter sports lovers, along with a long-standing and successful example of municipal entrepreneurship.
At the heart of this story is the renowned Xino Nero mineral water, which springs from the area surrounding the village of the same name in the Florina regional unit—an enterprise with decades of history behind it.
Guests on the program included Angelos Naomidou, chef and head of tourism activities in Agios Panteleimonas, Florina; Nikos Paroutoglou, Mayor of Almopia, speaking about the Pozar Baths; Tasos Tottis, head of the Vigla–Pisoderi Ski Center; and Christos Thomaidis, President of Xino Nero S.A.—the municipal enterprise responsible for harnessing, bottling, and marketing the water that flows from the springs near the village of Xino Nero, close to Amyntaio.
