On the Friday, September 27, 2024 episode, we hosted a phone interview with Christos Giannoulis, a member of parliament from SYRIZA-PS, who discussed recent developments within the party ahead of the upcoming leadership elections.
Following this, we welcomed Professor Giorgos Pleios from the Department of Communication and Media at EKPA to discuss the critical issue of migration flows in Europe, especially in light of recent events in Germany, focusing on asylum and the integration of refugees and migrants into Western societies.
In the second hour, our own Thomas Sideris, journalist and documentary filmmaker, joined us in the studio to talk about his latest film “The Return of Ivan” and his recognition at the Prix European Journalist of the Year awards.
Just before 11:30, we hosted Ms. Kelly Tsichli, secretary of the Hellenic Brewers Association, along with a conversation from Evia with the president of the Association, Sophocles Panagiotou, about the upcoming “Open Breweries” event on the weekend of September 27-28, which will provide the public with the opportunity to meet members of the Association, including Greek brewers and microbrewers.
In the final segment of the show, Ms. Loukia Thomopoulou, artistic director of the 1st Biennale of Contemporary Ceramics, spoke about the event that began on June 6 and will run until October 26 on the island of Santorini, featuring prominent ceramicists from Greece and around the world, inspired by the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri.
