In Thursday’s episode, December 12, 2024, we spoke with Professor Sotiris Roussos from the University of the Peloponnese about developments in Syria, their impact on the broader region, the future of the Gaza Strip conflict, and Iran’s influence.
Following this, Aphrodite Ktena, MP for the Communist Party of Greece, joined us in the studio to discuss the state budget debate and vote, as well as issues such as inflation, labor rights, collective agreements, and the role of workers’ mobilizations outside Parliament.
In the second hour, the guest was Danae Loukaki, a talented actress currently starring in ERT’s popular series “Electra” and the theatrical comedy “On the Edge” by Dimitra Papadopoulou, performed in Thessaloniki and set to move to Athens after January 10. Loukaki shared her journey into acting, which followed her studies in directing on a scholarship in London, the support she received from her family, and her achievements in canoe-kayak before deciding to pursue theater, graduating from the Art Theater School in 2016.
She spoke about her collaborations with significant figures in the field, including Vasilis Papavasileiou, Lydia Koniordou, Angela Brouskou, Lena Kitsopoulou, Pantelis Dentakis, and Nikos Karathanos. Loukaki also discussed the demands of her profession, especially her current schedule involving weekly travels between Athens and Thessaloniki. Despite the uncertainties of the acting field, she emphasized the stability provided by her work on “Electra” with ERT.
