“Take Your Time,” hosted by Prokopis Agelopoulos, welcomed director, actress, and Artistic Director of the award-winning London-based Theatre Lab Company, Anastasia Revi, to discuss the acclaimed stage production Captain Laskarina.
Written by Michalis Darnakis and Maria Laftsidou, and directed and performed by Anastasia Revi, the play premiered at the Hydrama International Arts Festival on the island of Hydra in August 2024. In May 2025, it was presented in London in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece, aboard Theatreship—a unique floating performance venue on the River Thames—as part of the commemorations marking the 200th anniversary of the assassination of Laskarina Bouboulina.
A Greek-language production by the British theater company with English surtitles where appropriate, Captain Laskarina seeks to introduce international audiences to the lesser-known personal story of Laskarina Pinotsi, the woman remembered by history as the legendary Bouboulina.
