On Thursday, 23 July 2026, “Take Your Time” opened with a roundup of the day’s top news stories and headlines from the Greek and international press.
The program welcomed Giorgos Asmatoglou, former President of POPEK (the Panhellenic Federation of Fuel Retailers), to discuss the impact of the latest escalation of the conflict in the Middle East on global energy markets and fuel prices in Greece.
At the start of the second hour, Ivana Djordjevic joined the program with an update on international affairs and developments in the Balkans.
The second half of the broadcast focused on culture. Ahead of three concerts by internationally acclaimed oud virtuoso Haig Yazdjian and violinist Maria Manousaki in Sisarcha, Rodia, and the Koules Fortress in Aptera, Chania, on 23, 24, and 25 July respectively, the program spoke by phone with Yazdjian, who has lived in Greece since 1980 and has collaborated with many leading figures of the Greek music scene, both on his own recordings and on numerous other projects.
The program then featured a conversation with Efthymis Kosemund-Sanidis, the young Greek-German filmmaker whose debut feature, Almost a Whole Man, received the Best Director Award at the 2026 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
