Vassilis Poularikas, head of the press office of the Greek Community of Cairo and editor-in-chief of the community’s newspaper Neon Fos, was a guest at the Voice of Greece studio.
He spoke about his journey in Egypt and the reasons that led him to settle permanently in the land of the Nile. He also shared insights into the daily life of Egyptians, while focusing on the diverse activities of the Greek Community of Cairo and the wider Greek diaspora in Egypt.
These include initiatives that support the development of historic Greek schools, the full renovation of Greek Orthodox churches, the preservation of Greek identity, the strengthening of Greek-Egyptian relations, and efforts to encourage Greeks from Greece to settle in Egypt—helping to grow and sustain Hellenism in the region.
